I oppose this plan as it would be a move in the wrong direction when it comes to city planning.

Adding bike lanes for non-existing bikers makes no sense. With in the increase residential and office building in the Hoffman area this is just going to get worse and worse.

ENOUGH with all of these bike lanes! In West End/Seminary Hill, it is already difficult enough as is dealing with all of the congestion streaming in from 395 and a road diet will make it worse for all of us who actually live in the area. I have seen so few bikers actually in this area that it feels like it’s a few wealthier Old Town families that want these new bike lanes just so they can enjoy a hobby AND benefit from easy access to Metro. It’s not fair considering how much more time this will add to our neighborhood’s travel.

enforcing speed limits is the ONLY way to keep my children safe when walking and biking. Creating congestion and increasing pollution will only damage their lungs.

I oppose any reduction of traffic lanes on Seminary Road. The area is already congested so reducing lanes will only increase congestion. Also the current backups exiting I-395 onto Seminary are barely tolerable with 4 lanes.

This just isn't practical. I get the intentions but as a resident driving on seminary daily not a solution

There are multiple bike corridors from the area to Old Town and safety does not appear to be the driving factor. The section of Seminary has side walks on both sides of the road. Seminary is a critical corridor and reducing the number of lanes will further inhibit the revitalization of the west end.

Please do not reduce the number of motor vehicle lanes on Seminary Road. It does not make sense.

I live on Newcomb Place and travel on Seminary Road every day. This plan is a solution in search of a problem. If there is a problem, it's about time our city leadership told us what it is!

The fact that the city is still considering this plan now that the decision has been made to use Patrick Henry as swing space is absurd and shows a lack of communication among leaders.

Another unthought through proposal from the city. The bike Lanes on King Street did not result in the selling idea of many more bike commuters. Stop catering to the few

Seminary Rd already has massively backed up lanes with only one lane servicing straight and right-lane turns. With a school on Seminary, and nearby, a 5-way intersection, 2 major shopping centers, the major thoroughfare of Duke St., and 2-way proximity to 395, reduction in the lanes would be a nightmare. It makes more sense for the sidewalks and shoulders to accommodate cyclists. PLEASE no reduction in the car lanes!

This is not a solution - it is just creating more problems. Developing the heck out of the city (hello, Amazon and Virginia Tech) and then reducing roadways is not wise.

Reduction of lanes on Seminary Road would exacerbate the traffic and pollution negatives we already endure.

I oppose any reduction in lanes on Seminary Road. Reducing the lanes would positively affect the minority of those who want the bike lane while further delaying the majority of drivers. The traffic and backups caused by narrowing the streets would worsen to a state that would not equate to the positive effect of passing a bike lane.
