I fully support this. I don't want my tax dollars being spent on schools that allow cell phone use during school/\.

YES! 100%. Cell phones should be for before and after school only, not during school hours. France banned cell phones at school up to 9th grade in 2018. For good reason. It's harming our children's social and emotional development. We owe this to our children. Boundaries! Please sign.

My kids can't stop watching other people's phones, or picking their nose, or doing their school work. This ban would make my parenting skills 33% better

This is an obvious choice. How can students attend to lessons with the siren call of a phone in their pocket.

Children should interact with each other and their teachers. Not cell phones.

This is a reasonable request please enforce it. Unless out of site you will be policing instead of teaching.

I support this action as do many of the developers of these popular tech products. http://www.businessinsider.com/screen-time-limits-bill-gates-steve-jobs-red-flag-2017-10

I agree with comments here. I believe that it would be a relief to students to remove the pressures that come from having the phone at school and also having to loan out their phones to friends who do not have them.

I'm very supportive of this. I know of professional offices where cell phones are not allowed inside, and people cope. Middle school children should be allowed the opportunity to be fully present with their teachers and peers.

So many science-based reasons to have limits on access to smart phones at school.

Cell phones are a huge distraction for kids and adults alike. Let's make sure the children of Vashon learn the value of an education free of cellular phone distraction.

Yes! Just a bummer this is coming the year after my kiddo leaves McM.
