I live and work in this neighbourhood - our cell service is just fine, and the health of our children is our major priority. There is neither a need nor a place for a cell tower at Brookdale Plaza.
There is enough research to back the prudent placement of cell towers. It is very concerning that one may be installed in a high density shopping and residential area. If installed, I will think twice before shopping there.

I am opposed to this project and extremely concerned that it goes against the recommendation made by the City of Peterborough that new telecommunication structures not be within 120m of any residential land.

The 120m in the City's by-law is much lower than in other jurisidictions, so it is of concern that even this minimal distance is being disregarded.

I am opposed to the proposed cell tower at Brookdale Plaza. Much of the emerging research suggests that these systems carry potential health hazards to people. Erring on the side of caution should be the position taken, not one of erecting the towers and then studying the effects on humans years down the road once the damage has been done.

We do not know enough about the health risks of cell towers so they should not be erected in residential areas!

WAY too close to residential neighbourhoods. Not necessary build to standards or don't build at all. What an eyesore. Shows us the council isn't standing up for any rights or community concerns.

All proposed cell phone towers should adhere to the recommended legislation about minimum distances to residential neighbourhoods. There is not a lack of cell phone coverage in this neighbourhood. Perhaps Rogers could add a transmitter to other existing towers adhering to the recommended guidelines to have more coverage rather than trying to build a new tower which does not follow recommended guidelines.

I am very concerned about cell towers being built in residential areas. The radiation they emit should not be near homes and schools.

There are concerned neighbours and we should follow the recommendations. I prefer the cautious and conservative side and consider there is no business $ pushing for that side
