Instead of removing the trees, install guardrails.

The benefits of these trees should be taken into consideration as the benefits far outweigh the risks!

A prime example of penn dot doing what ever they want and then feeding the general population a bog line of B.S.

If the problem is REALLY cars leaving the road, then crack down on the drunk drivers, fatigued drivers, and drivers that drive way too fast for conditions! Do not believe that blowing snow will not be a problem once the trees are cut. This is the snow belt, Einstein!

Save the trees, they are a natural snow block, blowing snow causes accidents. Trees DON'T!!!!

I believe the removal of these trees has created safety issues for travelers regarding the coming winter. I've lived in McKean my entire life and I've never seen any accidents in that area. The trees provided a barrier from the snow. With these trees removed this coming winter will be hell for drivers.

So watch for the snow drifts now

It’s a bigger safety risk when someone goes into oncoming traffic and the issues from blowing snow.

I want to cry every day I drive home on 79 in mckean. Those old beautiful trees are gone and even though new trees could be planted it will take YEARS to reach the same maturity. It's so sad.

Trees provide a natural buffer to noise, blowing snow as well as water absorbtion. At the Mckean exit I'd rather take my chances with the woods r as the than in a ravine 20 feet deep and probably full of water and other hazards.

It is a proven FACT that trees are healthie for the environment!!! Leave them ALONE!!! We should be planting more not cutting them down!!!! Leave it to Pennsylvania.
