I see no reason why these trees should be removed. Along with the cost to the taxpayer, there is an even greater cost to our environment.

Stop this now. We need our trees. Please review studies regarding the CO2 and O2 exchange done by trees. This is how we have fresh air.

I have sent emails to Penn Dot regarding this nonsense. The team cutting the trees and Penn Dot have gone overboard with the 30 foot clear zone. I requested studies that did show trees were clearly the fault for causing injuries and deaths. Could it be the speeding traveler, going too fast for conditions, intoxication, or falling asleep while driving. Penn Dot needs to halt this practice NOW!

I feel this is a waste of money and resources and is unnecessary. For safety during winter we need the trees! Not to mention, clearing the trees is removing beauty along our highway. Leave the trees alone!

The senseless slaying of the natural barrier should be halted immediately. How can the “clear zone” be justifiable when miles upon miles of wire fencing are being put up within less than 30 feet of the birm of the road along I90.
Stop the insanity. Save our trees, save our planet.

Save the trees. If you're going to cut one down, two more should be replanted.

Going to make winter travel so much worse in that area! I live by the interstate and the traffic there in the winter is terrible, cutting down all the trees is going to make it much worse. U cant cut down every tree near a roadway there are better ways to reduce accidents like higher guardrails, no texting laws.

These trees are what prevent semi tractor trailers from crossing into the other land. Why would you cut them down?
