Trees did nothing to you. Leave them alone. You don't own them either. Okay ?

Cutting the trees down will give more of a clearence for helpless drunks to cause pile ups its a lack of oxygen taking trees out that we already lack. Those r like walls from more accidents and lives being caused of stupidity of drubk driving. The trees falling on the inerstate shudnt be a problem as long as u drop the dead trees not the long living trees thats young. I believe this should be stopped for many reasons less accidents more oxygen more life for the enviroment. We needs help the world not take away from it

Its 2018. We should be coexisting with nature or working towards it by now. Not destroying everything in our path for our convenience

It seems PennDOT is just trying to find work for their employees to do. What they are doing is totally unnecessary and counterproductive.

Stop destroying our trees! Why clear these trees on I-79 and allow trees on all other highways and roadways? If trees can exist next to all other roadways then they should exist on I-79. Horrible destruction of the environment!

Totally insane and waste of money.

I reported this situation to Dan Laughlin at the beginning of September and got nowhere with it.. Whoever authorized the destruction of those trees should be fired immediately. I would like Diane Esser to contact me. I have a real passion for issues such as this one.

It's unnecessary. There's other ways to go about this to come to a resolution

Because this is 'snowbelt' area, I'm concerned about the blowing and drifting snow across lanes without the trees there to buffer the wind. I think there will be more accidents in the winter because of this.

Makes absolutely no sense!

Please stop this!!! The snowdrifts will kill more people than the trees!

I don't believe that cutting the trees down is making it safer. If this was the case we would have no trees in the median of any interstate highway.
