Oh no, it says that I have to "donate" at least $3 to sign the petition? And it doesn't go to the oranizer but to the website hosting this? Boo

So grateful someone stepped up and took this on! my kids and I have been watching the devastation, and been so sad. It's hard to explain to them, when all they know is that we need the trees to survive. The amount of information and data collected to support that the clearing needs to stop is tremendous! Thank you for the work put into trying to save our planet!

The benefits of trees near highways are many. Keeping the sun out of your eyes, keeping highways from buckling in summer heat. Slowing dangerous crosswinds, preventing snowdrifts in winter and lastly ,but importantly, they absorb carbon dioxide and return Oxygen for us to breathe. Don't clearcut any trees..

Vote Red! Get this State moving in the right direction. Hoe about the safety issues with the road not being finished. Cones are not an answer. Get to work PA!

Why worry about the 99% when you can help the 1%

It takes many years to grow a tree, but then, at no cost, we have a machine that cleans the air.

.....takes years to grow a tree... Minutes to cut it down.... Wire guardrails snag hundreds of vehicles in SC ❤️ In winter up there the snow should do the same lol Seriously tho The wires WORK

I have so many issues with this, where to begin: i have watched these patches of forest grow since my childhood and it is more attractive than the desolate spanses we can now see. Also, I predict drifting will be an issue at these very windy flat points. Driving is a problem WITH the trees and without it will grow exponentially worse. If PA must clear cut, then why not use the lumber? Everything I could see was put through a wood chipper. What use is that? This entire project makes no sense to me even after reading the data. A grievous waste of resources both natural and economic.

The trees actually help in reducing snow buildup on the roads. Without them there is more snow drifting on the road. It will most likely result in more accidents. Stop ripping the trees down.

They haven't even removed the stumps, which will cause just as much damage if a car goes over there. That excuse seems blatantly fictitious and causes suspect that the real reason is that someone is getting cut a check for timber, not that PennDot is "concerned" over the well-being of drivers. Plus with the climate change report from the UN, why are we cutting down THE LARGEST RESOURCE WE HAVE FOR CLEANING OUR AIR. Wake up. Our tax dollars pay for more than this inadequacy.

Did anyone consider the benefit of having trees? Oxygen is a good thing. Trees are also a great sound barrier. What about the cost of replanting? Or just plain aesthetics. I'm sure the discount we received for the paving does not cover the true cost of the clear cutting of the trees.

Penndot is destroying our beautiful area by clear cutting away our trees. I’m sure guardrails could be installed. Unbelievable the disrespect for our environment!

PennDot is out of control and the management needs eliminated.

Many good reasons: If it's a tree, let it be. Could this cut be described as cash for timber?? Maybe that's why no one in authority is willing to comment.

The rationale used for this destruction is ridiculous.
