Please stop cutting down median trees, they are intrinsic to the environment and its natural systems. There MUST be other ways to ensure the safety of drivers besides removing an entire forest of trees.

Shame on PennDot !

Trees benefit us in many ways. Accidents will happen, and people will hit things. Removing the trees in this area will only make the roadway more hazardous with blowing snow, headlights in the eyes at night and added maintenance of more mowing.

Trees=oxygen The cost of all the tree clearing can be utilized to better road conditions!!

This is ridiculous. I dont even know where to start but I believe the trees shall stand and cutting them for short term profits so we as tax payers can pay someone to mow grass just makes me mad. People need to stop surfing the internet and drive cars less fatalities. They are putting up guard rails anyway it doesn't make any sense. And oxygen dont ger me started on oxygen. Noise pollution light pollution car exhaust it's just overwhelming the benefits of the trees not to mention the beauty Who ever decided this was a good idea must go Get em OUT!

HOPE you can find another way to not take down so many trees.

The trees add protection from the wind and snow. Not only are trees a beautiful staple of the Pennsylvania landscape, they are good for our environment.

Please stop!

Stop killing the trees!!!!!!

I don’t know who thought this was a great idea, but really? What were you thinking? Is someone benefiting financially from cutting down all these tress? Did people who actually travel this corridor actually make this decision. Rethink this decision.

I’d rather die hitting a tree in the median than cross the median, hit another driver & kill then too!

The wind brake and the barrier for light from the other side was great. It also blocked the sun at sundown so you could see to drive . It is clear the person who made the choice to cut the trees is not from here and has never driven in our winter. It is the worst in the lower 48 states in that area the trees were a wind break. I drove from Meadville to Erie on a weekly basis for more than 12 years It was a real help to have those trees there. I have fond many non science choices lately that were not thought through. Environmental impacts need to be part of the studies. They were not done here. It is also ugly and more pollution due to less o2 production.

The so called trimming of so many beautiful trees is obscene.
