T-MOBILE'S new television ad features a 'word flea infestation' (tiny typed words with legs) in children's hair. The ad is supposed to emphasize other providers' hidden fees and how they can kill the fees/fleas.

HOWEVER, the message is lost as the sight of bugs roaming through the scalp of children take over all senses. In the last scene, a multitude of bugs are seen scurrying down a child's arm.

The sight of it all is disturbing and causes many people's skin to crawl. (Just check out the many ignored post on T-Mobile's Facebook page showing people's distaste for the ad).

If you are like the many people who posted to social media about the ad, you were given no warning of what was about to be flashed on the screen during the news break or whatever program you were watching. Once you see it, it can't be unseen.

If you flesh crawls at the sight of a flea or lice infestation in someone's hair, you can wash your hair, sit in the dark or take a sleep aid, but none of these things will bring comfort to your now vexed state. Your appetite will leave you and you will forget how to fall asleep.

The petition's purpose is to stop the airing of the grotesque ad from television and from social media.
