This is not okay in the slightest. As a recently come out trans male who is already uncomfortable expressing his pronouns in a supportive environment, I can't imagine what it's like to have to attend such a negative, transphobic school system. Something must be done. You have my support friend.

I'm non binary and just a few weeks ago I got my own high school to change the dress code for graduation from "women wear ___" and "men wear ___" so I know it's possible! I believe in you please don't loose hope, even if you school changes begrudgingly it'll be a huge step.

Considering that the law DOES defend nonbinary, transgender, and gender fluid students, this school must be forced to comply, regardless of their personal opinions on the matter. This is precisely like what happened following the Supreme Court decision that ruled segregation within schools was unconstitutional. Schools ignored this and continued to prohibit integration, but later faced the consequences for their horrific actions. This time, however, I hope this petition will help speed along that same process and ensure an environment in which all students are treated as equals much more readily. I also wish this school to know that in fifty years time, there will be pictures of them and people like them in the history books, and they will be regarded as any other institution who deprived its members of their basic human rights; with the utmost disdain.

i find it disgusting that the faculty allows, or even encourages, trans student to be ridiculed and bullied. they are doing nothing but making the child's mental state worse by not letting them USE THE BATHROOM.

Respect for all people, regardless of age or gender identity, is common sense and a human right. Providing this for cisgender students and not others will only worsen oppression and suffering faced by trans and nonbinary students.

It is ridiculous that there has to be a petition to make sure children/teens are safe. This is a school for crying out loud! No matter what gender you are, you should be safe at school. PERIOD!
