CBS - Blue Bloods on Nov 4th dishonored NYPD's Phil Cardillo

URGENT: SIGN THIS PETITION NOW!
On
11/04/11, an episode
of Blue Bloods (Tom Sellek) titled Black and Blue presented a
strikingly similar story to Officer Phil Cardillo, an NYPD police
officer who was murdered in 1972... except CBS and the writers
gave absolutely no credit to the fact that the story being
portrayed actually happened!
It was painful to watch insofar as it borrowed almost the exact same details of Cardillo's fate as outlined
in Randy Jurgensen's book Circle of Six, conveniently leaving out the part that the
man lost his life that day.
Subsequent to this episode, randyjurgensen.comwas
inundated with so many emails that the server crashed. The
emails sent during the first few minutes of the show were
congratulatory, at first thinking Phil would finally get some peace…but
as the episode progressed other emails began expressing outrage
that the fictional storyline stole the exact same elements from an actual unsolved murder of a police officer.
We’re approaching the 40-year anniversary of this unsolved murder...and instead of helping the cause CBS watered
down the truth and didn't acknowledge that clearly the writer's inspiration was
Jurgensen's book Circle of Six and Phil Cardillo’s murder!
For four decades, the mantra has always been "Remember Cardillo". Today, a new battle cry is being shouted at CBS: "Honor Cardillo"!
CBS will hear from us. We demand the recognition that Phil Cardillo deserves.
Shame on you CBS!
On Nov 12th, the New York Post featured an article expressing the outrage of people like us over this episode. We are gaining traction so continue to spread the word.
