I am a healthcare employee and we continue to wear masks and follow the science. If CBSD does not follow the science and listen to appropriate protocol from the CDC etc, they are putting our children and their loved ones at risk.

To change the policy on masking with no credible scientific evidence or as recommended by the CDC or Department of Health, this close to the end of the year, increases risk for the entire community. Children under 12 are not eligible for vaccination and many children have high-risk conditions.

People who are anti-science have no place in deciding the education of our children. Nor should the talking points by irresponsible sensationalists be used to determine policy.

Completely agree with the author. I love our district and its teachers. If we want to be one of the top rated schools in the state, then we must act accordingly using common sense, respect for others, an understanding of good science, and a consideration for the common good of the community.

Current board members are playing politics with the education, Health and safety of our children - Recently elected board members were chosen to lead and represent but instead they are choosing follow conspiracy theorists and support pseudo- science. They are fomenting division and partisanship on the backs of the children of our district

What the school board did last week with the surprise voting on new leadership at the very end of the meeting was shameful and shameless. We will not sit by and accept this when students deserve to have a learning environment that is accepting of people who may be different from themselves. We owe it to our children.

I believe you’re referring to a respirator, not a mask which are 2 entirely different OSHA mandated items. I am not aware of any industry requiring a mask as part of their normal day to day operations. A respirator, yes, but not a mask in normal times.

As a family to one of the most vulnerable students in CB, who cannot yet be vaccinated, we ask that you think of those in her MDS class as you make these decisions regarding masks. It is imperative to their health and well-being and they are the voiceless, depending on all of us to care for them.
