Kids don't die from COVID, but a perfectly healthy child can get long COVID—even after being asymptomatic—and the long-term effects are really difficult to manage. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7927578/ I know this firsthand because of my son (no pre-existing HCs). He's 6—and still recovering 15 months later.

Keep the masks for the few days left of this school year!

All kids should still have to wear a mask.

Please keep the guidelines in place for mask wearing until all those in school have the opportunity to be vaccinated so that we protect all of those who cannot be due to health concerns. Why risk the health of the unvaccinated children when there is a simple way to protect them?

Science is real.

Please don't make the safety of students and staff a partisan issue. The virus doesn't care who you voted for. The virus doesn't care if you believe in it. The virus doesn't care if you accept that the scientists and docs just might know better than those not in those fields. Let's keep us all safe, shall we?

Agree 100%! Vaccine requirements to attend school have been in place for years! As a public safety issue, COVID vaccines should be added to the requirement. Period. Until then, we need to follow the CDC guidelines to wear masks to protect our most vulnerable.

I support mask wearing to protect the children who have not been vaccinated yet and to protect the more vulnerable population, my son being one, from getting Covid.

My grandchildren attend CB schools. Anyone who objects to masks are the ones promoting child abuse. Our children need to be safe & if it takes a mask to do that, then they will wear a mask!

Please continue to keep everyone safe for the remainder of the school year. If for no other reason, Everyone can benefit from consistency.

Continue with masks until the end of this school year. Then let's see what the scientists recommend for next year. Masks are NOT child abuse. Masks save lives!
