the cartoon does not represent the majority of Caymanians. The fact that it's on the editorial page says volumes. It should be on the cartoon page. My problem with this sort of "free speech" is that one should always poke fun of one's own parenting skills first before entering in to a public domain. Maybe "caymanman" should be using a mirror instead of a telescope. The result should be enlightening, but somehow i doubt it.

Only in Cayman would someone who drifted to our shore like a piece of driftwood feel like they can insult the natives of the country that has allowed him to become rich and famous on the back of the same people that he obviously despise.

On behalf of my fellow basketball friends etc...I'm -a young caymanian devoted because I want a better future and I'll work hard to get where I want to be and buy what I want with my hard working money like causing trouble isn't my thing because at the end of the day it will only take away the income I've been making and I don't want that it's a cycle that you have to maintain and doing stupidity only will ruining that. Seeing this cartoon article stikes a nerve because of the young man that you have portrayed in the article yes maybe he isn't well dressed and yes he's smoking where it's most likely not prohibited but don't you see that basketball like this young man portrayed here isn't causing any trouble!?but only looking for help! A way to do something , has a dream as you can see as a basketball player, this cartoon article did not have enough thoughts towards it before being published and has just made many young caymanian males feel like right now "nothing is possible" as to how the public-media judge and criticize them

I founded the Cayman Compass to be a bit bias when they didn't want to publish my story against the Cayman islands hospital and their negligence of malpractice that they have been doing for years. Yet, they would rather post something discriminatory like this cartoon story against the Caymanian people. I have also stopped from buying their compass, I want no part of them!

This is unacceptable and has to stop! How dare you paint such an unrealistic picture of us young Caymanians, especially when over half of us have gone to university to get degrees to better ourselves!

I am appalled at how someone can generalize a population to show how unmotivated young Caymanians can be. Unemployment in Cayman is not a joking matter as people young and old are putting in so much effort to just a "foot in the door".

they need to post the permit holders sitting in line at immigration looking a better life at a cheap labor cost of paying caymanians!!!!
