If I was paying tuition or we were considered a charter school, sure. But seeing as how EH is a public school I find this SUDDEN move absolutely ridiculous. And the fact that there was no parent involvement for consulting (PTA anyone?) to bounce ideas off of is also unrealistic. I suspect you will have your hands full with discipline issues and that will be the real distraction. Once again, parent involvement is KEY.

I don't know a single student in our school who would get distracted by someone else's shoulder during class. Although, that's not the issue here; the issue is that students would be punished for something that they should NOT have to be concerned about. The only thing students should have to worry about is their class work and respecting others around them.

How about focusing on the fact the 6th graders get at school at 645 and eat at 1250 that is what concerns me about my education

Let’s take the focus off dress code and put the focus where it needs to be, on our kids education. Pulling kids out of class and making examples of them in front of their peers over their outward appearance is unacceptable. This dress code is a waste of everyone’s time and money. Let’s focus on the children not their clothes!!!
