As a past member and newly rejoined member the last 6 months this petition do not represent me !!!! The increase that came to next years Sub " is not that harsh compared too only golf clubs around the city ' I will fully support the club as I am and always made feel very welcome there on any day I play there " since coming back I can see huge improvements are being made too get the course back too the way it was when opened!!! For years before it was bought" Nama only took money out of the place nothing ever going back into it !! Until now with the new owners " and members should realise this !!!! I see a lot of bad comments on this petition " but it will come down to personal choice " so the front gate is always open if members think there being hard done buy "and there's plenty waiting too join that' club !! So best of luck with this petition because it will only fall on deaf ears !!!!

As a member did not receive e/mail referred to. 12/11/2017. from Noel Foley and am unaware of the clubs approach.
Increase dissapointing. Removing bar voucher from sub, bad idea for cube.
Deal breaker for me will be non arrival of constantly promised computerised booking system.

Hi
I just want to reference an email sent by Noel Foley to all members on Sunday 12th November .
Whilst I don't 100% agree with the increases in yearly fees at the resort , I’m appalled that such an email was sent out to all members. I want to categorically distance myself from this “concerned group of golfers” that Mr Foley claims to represent .
Firstly if he has an issue with any member of staff at the resort he should take it up privately with them and not air his issues on a public forum .
Also by going directly to the bosses in the Uk and naming an individual questioning their integrity, I find underhand and quite frankly sneaky.
I’m only a member this past 12 months but am down at the club minimum once a week and I have to say all the staff have been courteous, professional and welcoming in all my dealings with them .
Going back to the issues around the fees, yes it could’ve been handled better and yes there is a right to object and I fully support this if it’s for the betterment of the club .
However for the reasons above I have to distance myself from this communication and certainly won’t be engaging in “shooting the messenger” and making personal attack’s on peoples integrity and professionalism .
I for one will support what’s best for the club and I’m sure the committee in place will channel any grievances through “official line of communications” as Mr Alliss alluded to.
Yours in Golf and Respect

Very Dissapointed with this increase, and also the decision to have it paid before Christmas, with a Penalty if you pay after Dec 31st.

The average inflation of Ireland in 2017: 0.29 %. Average inflation for Castlemartyr Golf membership 10% (before Dec31st) or double that from Jan 1st. Would be nice to know what the justification is for the increase. It cant be rising costs. Be interested to find out what improvements (green to tee pathways ? shower heads ?) to course and facilities will arise due to increase in revenue. Can definitely members looking for alternative courses to join as a result of proposed increases.

Very disappointing news...Frustrating enough that we are still waiting for the online booking and its obvious there is a drainage problem on parts of the course which remain ignored despite all the extra revenue from the new members in the last year.

Disappointed with the large increase in fees and recently not been able to finish my rounds of golf due to society/green fee slow play which should be marshalled. An example of this was last weekend when I could not complete the competition or winter league. This was due to green fees ahead of us. If we were to pay more we would want to see course marshalling and also more money to be put back into the course to maintain a high standard as it appears to have slipped .
