More housing if a definite priority for our aging elderly. Us caregivers can't get the help needed either which is unhealthy for the elder and the caregiver.

My mom is in dire need of being placed in a PCH. She has been waiting almost a year and it could be another year. She is in danger everyday waiting for placement.

We have waited over a year now for our Mom to get into an assistance living facility, and soon she will no longer be eligible, which means we will again be waiting for a place in a personal care home..

I am the care giver for my wife at home. She has dementia and I fear the time comes where she needs care outside of the home and there is a waiting line. I feel the pressure now and hope it isn't worse in the future, when ever that is

My mother has been waiting in the Bethesda Hospital since March of 2015 for a room in a local PCH. They say it will be months and she may even be moved to Vita or Morris hospital in the mean time. Let's get another PCH in Steinbach and expand the Resthaven. They have the land.

This problem will only get bigger as the senior population is set to grow bigger all the time. We need to look after our elders and putting them in another community causes more stress to an already stressful situation.

My parents and parents-in-law have all passed away already and that leaves my husband and myself 's generation. It would break my heart to have to be in-care somewhere in another community . Let's keep it nearby.

I am a senior myself and have a 92 year old father and 95 year old father in law and would find it very difficult to have them live in another community . I am so glad the mothers could die first and not be torn from their husbands to be put into a care facility away from home. I am at the stage of thinking of how awful it would be if my husband and I would be separated in such a way.
