CARE ALERT for Head and Neck Cancer Survivors

Head and neck lymphedema causes so many life altering changes and greatly impacts quality of life for so may people, and it should never be a question of if care is covered.

This is much needed.

I am a Head and Neck Lymphedema therapists. Our neck and throat patients could really gain some relief from these pumps.

Patients deserve access to the best therapy they can get after fighting for their life! Not covering PCDs for these valiant survivors is a disservice to your members allowing them supportive care in their chosen enviornment.

Pneumatic compression therapy works. Insurance needs to cover the purchase of the devices.

I have had several first-hand accounts of "blue tape" (Blue Cross red tape) that inhibits much needed treatment options for cancer patients and survivors. They can do better and we need to remain vigilant in our campaign.

Hope to be able to help patients with this horrible quality of life without additional tools in home. Patients deserve the best quality of life and access to all tools.

Please help balance the health care benefits paid fir those thriving through the tests after diagnosis and treatment. Unlike breast cancer survivors, head and neck patients after treatment have numerous side effects which remain and may worsen over the years
