Having lived in Ilkley for over 20years I am very concerned about the congestion in the town and side roads. The Grove and Grove Road in particular are areas where there is an accident of consequence waiting to happen. On numerous occasions I have driven along both roads and have witnessed numerous incidents where cars have collided, pedestrians nearly knocked down etc. The width of the parking bays is not wide enough for the numerous 4x4's which are frequently parked badly this reducing the width of the road further. Surely the Grove should be devoid of parked cars and there be double yellow lines at the bottom of Grove Road. Additional carparking is required - may I suggest the site on Railway Road originally earmarked for a Tesco super store.

the parking is atrocious round Ilkley at the moment especially round Grove Road, and the surrounding side roads. Stationary cars parked up Wells road, Cowpasture road and all side roads off the Grove cause obstruction and chaos at peak times. The parking bays on the grove can't accommodate large 4x4's restricting the width of the road. It is becoming a huge problem and issue with all local residents!!

The parking in Ben Rhydding in general and on Wheatley Avenue in particular has become very congested. The Avenue is used as a de facto overflow car park for the station and parking is very limited now for residents. We desperately need a car park for train commuters and restricted parking on the Avenue to allow residents and shoppers to be able to park.

I live on Mornington Road. I have a double whammy. I get commuter parking, gym parking as well as the considerate people who park outside my house and go on holiday for 2 weeks! enough is enough people. ditch the not on my doorstep attitude!

Parking totally out of control. Need long term parking for day commuters, pay and dispaly parking for central street and resident permits. A few less cars might even mean Bradford Coucil could clear drains and gullies!

strathmore ave is a very dangerous road for children living on it due to raking for the railway station at the top of the road. Drivers are totally inconsiderate of the residents. My daughter with 2 small children had her drive blocked for 12hrs!

We have an opportunity to provide long stay commuter car parking with the abandoned Tesco project. Any planning permission for housing could be made conditional upon building a two or three story car park at the station end. Short term parking on the Grove is also a hazard. Speed bumps and other calming measures would discourage traffic from using this road as a short cut across town to avoid the main A65.

I share concerns about on-street parking much of which is dangerous particularly to pedestrians but as faras I am aware of, no police action is taken.It seems parking on pavements is now widely accepted. If there were additional commuter parking at a cost would it be used, unless real sanctions are applied to offending motorists? Would it attract even more commuters to the train. How many of the vehicles have only one occupant; how many commuters live within walking distance but still drive in to Ilkley.

The town centre cannot sustain the number of commuter cars parked up every day and at the same time accomodate local parking. Reduce the parking times for non residents in the central areas to unclog the primary streets in the centre and open up the lydo parking area for daily commuters. the walk to the station will do them good !!

I am finding some roads so scary to negotiate as there is parking on both sides of the road . Sometimes it is difficult to get out of my drive wth cars at both sides in my road . Things are at crisis point ..something needs to be done to ease the growing problem .

This is becoming a major issue where I live in Ilkley. There's a good site on Railway Road (ex Tesco) that could be partially used for parking perhaps. And may introducing permits for the residential areas near the station.
