I recently attended a funeral in Ilkley Centre and mourners were really struggling to park mid week. This is unacceptable. If this is the case, how can shoppers park so the local economy can grow and jobs be created? Needs an urgent review.

This problem may soon cause a serious issue with deaths to pedestrians, or residents where emergency vehicles are unable to get to the homes. We need a system like Harrogate. No all day parking except for resident permit holders. Central roads should work on meter system with a sensible rate. Out of town parking could be on a disc basis restricted to 2/3 hours. A new

Unless the parking and traffic situation in Ilkley is addressed, the town centre will soon become gridlocked and there is a real danger of accidents to cars and people.

i live up Sedbergh park and commuters often double park on both sides of the road making it impossible to get up to my house the rubbish truck several times have turned away and if your lucky and you drive down then trying to get onto cow pasture road you have to edge nearly to the middle of the road as they have parked on both sides of this road and you cannot see what is coming down or up residents of Sedbergh park are wanting a residents permit parking

There are solutions, we just have to clever, consultative and brave enough to look at a whole range of ideas. Not something councillors are used to or adept at!

I have raised this several times and have been ignored. I really hope this brings the problem to somebody's attention. Harrogate have managed resident parking so it is doable.

Road around the station are a nightmare with all the commuter parking. The exTesco site provides the ideal place for a suitable car park.
