Our road is absolutely clogged with non-resident cars many of which park on the pavements forcing families and the disabled on to the road

Just got a ticket for parking whilst at hairdressers. Absolutely couldn't find anywhere to park.

As a frequent visitor to Ilkley (from Kent) I find the parking in the town a nightmare. Finding a parking space can be very stressful and have witnessed many disagreements over parking spaces in the main car park..

The number of commuters street parking for the whole day rather than leaving their cars at home is starting to affect who comes to visit the town. Our lovely local shops will the ones to lose out and the heart of our town will be lost.

It has got to the point where I can't even park outside my own home- on a Sunday.

Too much parking on pavements and reductions of roads to single file.

Parking for residents in the Nelson Road area is already a problemin because of the Auction Rooms, and will get even worse when the new cinema opens. Visitors to the town also use this area to avoid car parking charges - we once found someone parking their 4x4 in our back yard: "we'll only be a few minutes!"

The bottom of Grove Road is becoming dangerous for cars and pedestrians due to vehicle parking on both sides and pavement

Cowpasture Road is becoming so difficult to navigate because of parking on both sides of the road, making it virtually a sinle vehicle access. Also the speeding on Cowpasture Road is ridiculous and nothing is done about it

We urgently need a rail commuters car park to reduce on street parking in the town centre. How about the Tesco site?

I should also like to request that BMDC also consider anti-social on pavement parking in their review and do what they can to prevent parking on the grass verges on Valley Drive for example.

I also endorse the comment about parking in Ben Rhydding and totally agree with Christine Chapman's comments. Something has been done about the grass verges on Wheatley Avenue and also the council reseeded some areas yesterday (02/03/2015).

regent road needs to be permit only, residents are unable to park on road. Strathmore drive Ben Rhydding also needs addressing. It is becoming unsafe with people using it to park for the station and the nursing home

Particularly concerned about double parking on Cowpasture Road

Parking on Wells Road is a safety hazard. Large vehicles have difficulty accessing properties and the fire service would definitely have problems. Wee

Parking on both sides of narrow streets is dangerous and leads to accidents. There are many large, wide cars now, often not parked as close into the kerb as they could be or often parked up onto the pavement obstructing pedestrian passage. There needs to be better provisio for rail commuters to ease traffic on the roads. More and more coffee shops and restaurants are opening bringing more visitors to Ilkley, which is good, but there needs to be somewhere for them to park. At the moment Ilkley is becoming an unsightly and hazardous random carpark.

I support a review. We are faced with greater numbers of cars on the road. Car designs are getting wider. Parking on both sides of narrow streets must be an issue for emergency services, public services and transport. Some consideration will be necessary for resident only on street parking, where appropriate to the housing stock. I feel quite strongly about any vehicles parking for lengthy periods on pavements, restricting access for a variety of pavement users. I just wonder if there is an accident waiting to happen. Please provide more formalised car parking and restrict car parking in appropriate locations.
