All day parking in the town centre is a major problem. There needs to be a 2 hour maximum stay in these roads.

Grove Road, Kings Road, Wells Road, New Brook Street and Bridge Lane have all become "commuter" parking, so its time we had a long stay car park to relieve these roads and return them for shoppers and visitors.

All day commuter parking must be a priority as shoppers and residents cannot park near to the centre of town.Funding for this should come from BMDC and Northern Rail as it is their customers who need parking close to the station.

It is about time that action was taken to remove the menace of badly parked cars of the streets of Ilkley

I suggest a multi-storey commuter car park located over the rail tracts with access from both Railway Road and Station Road.

The Grove end of Grove Road has become dangerous, particularly near the King's Road junction, with cars parking on both sides of the road.

Ilkley is a great town but on our street Trafalgar Road it often feels like that is a free car park and a nightmare for those with young children and shopping!

Additional parking in Ilkley would be a great boost to shops and traders in the town. The beauty about Ilkley is that it still has an good number of independent traders giving this town a unique feel, which should be encouraged in any way possible. The ability to park easily and cheaply helps to maintain this ambiance.

I should like to endorse the proposition that parking in Ilkley has reached a critical level, and the parking of vehicles, especially all day whilst the owner works, should be provided with a suitable, preferably underground, multi-storey car park facility. This may be finaced by the car park company. Whilst meters should be avoided, the use of a few more yellow lines may be necessary.

Maybe a commuter carpark could be built below the scout hut in Ben Rhydding?

I think the council need to review some of the key routes in Ilkley and ensure that traffic is kept flowing. Little Lane and Railway Road need to be looked at particularly closely - implementing double yellow lines and residents' parking areas.
