Final supporters
We, the undersigned, want to celebrate the life and legacy of James Cook. We therefore urge the Government to reverse their decision to cut local funding, something that has placed the future of the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum under threat.

Spent many happy hours there. Dont shut it down over a few quid.
Terrible idea. It brings people to the town. Think about the tourism benefits before making these cuts!
DONT LET THEM CLOSE IT. My dad took me there when I was a kid and I want my own kids to see it too.
Ridiculous to cut funding for this. Such an important landmark for the area.
We need to preserve our history instead of just tearing it down. Please reconsider.

This museum is part of our local history. Keeping it open is vital for the kids to learn about the explorers.
