I started this because I am worried about the safety of our families but the amount of people reaching out to share their own fears has been overwhelming. Reading your stories about why this matters gives me a sense of responsibility that I never expected to carry. This is really all of you choosing to look at a difficult reality rather than looking away.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It is your collective concern that is driving this movement forward. Thank you for showing that we are not willing to stay quiet about these tragic events.

THEY DESERVE NO MERCY. WHAT THEY DID TO THOSE POOR GIRLS IS SICK. JAIL IS NOT ENOUGH PUNISHMENT WHEN THEY TAKE A LIFE.
Hope the PM is listening because we have had enough of these monsters roaming our streets.
About time we did something. The crime rate is getting out of control and these criminals are just living off our taxes in prison. Bring back the gallows.
My heart breaks for those girls. How much longer must we wait? Justice needs to be served properly for once.
Scared to even send my kids to school these days. Something has to change before another family has to go through this hell.

It is indeed injustice that rapists keep getting jail sentences instead of capital punishment. Mauritian laws need to become extremely severe. Hanging and death row injection need to be introduced. Most people would argue that innocents will be trapped. Literally speaking, when there is concrete proof that the rapist has committed this offence, why procrastinate in taking actions? Mauritius is full of old uncles paedophiles and perverted married men who do not hesitate to harass young girls. The MPF is inept to deal with such matters because according to them it lacks prominence. I would encourage other people to sign this petition in order to fight for the rights of victims and their families!
