I remember our cable line going out in the midst of important phone calls. I can't imagine the line going dead in an emergency.

When the power went out at my house in Broad Cove there was no way to contact the power company or even my parents because without my wifi, I had no cell service. I was in the dark with no way to contact the outside world. Sign this petition for a safer Cape Elizabeth!

I support this petition, but believe the title of the petition does a disservice to our cause. We are supporting the installation of cell service equipment on an EXISTING water tower, and not advocating for the construction of a new tower.
I propose we re-name this petition: "Cape Elizabeth Cell Service Petition"

I'm not fond of the utility poles in front of my house, either, but they benefit the entire neighborhood the same way this small cell antenna will.

I drop calls all the time on my way home through Rt. 77 and Bowery Beach Rd. If an army of utility trucks were going over/past your property all the time or there would be audible or visual nuisance, harming your property values or property rights, I would completely understand. Pro-ban arguments described in the town paper were extremely weak.
