I’m signing this petition because these codes are antiquated and need a revisit to accommodate our ever changing demographics in Cape Coral. We are growing at an unbelievable pace and a change is necessary. We are considered a boating community, please consider a change to these codes.

Thr Cape Coral boat ordinance should be changed to allow watercraft up to 24 feet in length to be stored/parked in any private driveway given that every part of the watercraft, or watercraft trailer/transport/storage device is a minimum of 2 feet away from any public easement.

My husband works in the air conditioning industry. Whenever he'said been granted a work truck or van, code enforcement comes and makes him cover up the company's signs or park somewhere else other than our home. That's not right! It needs to be changed. We pay our taxes.

As part of the Boating community, taxpayer, and property owner I believe we should be allowed to park our boats in our own driveway.

I absolutely love clean and uncluttered neighborhoods. But I love liberty even more. I’m not willing to take other peoples freedoms for my own selfish preferences. These restrictions are over reaching and smack of elitism.

Some of us do not have big enough back yards to park a boat, and our lots are so small you can't even get between the houses to even get a boat back there!!!.

Please let's make sure 1 Boat per household. Let there be stipulations also. If 3 family members works for company let's say 1 commercial vehicle as well. Let's not make our Driveways yards look trashy

This should definitely be looked at and changed. Communities evolve and some of these codes are outdated. The working man shouldn’t be penalized for having a work truck in their driveway. Obviously there should be certain restrictions on having heavy machinery etc. but a licensed van or pickup with company signage should certainly be allowed.
