Cap School Uniform Prices

Ludicrous. For a school that is underperforming, making an unpopular move like this just further alienates pupils and families from an institution that has always served as a centre of excellence in the past. Logo or no logo, if uniform is clean and tidy it serves its purpose. Uniform costs are an expense for any family even at the superb prices that supermarkets provide. To make this even more expensive for any reason is unjust and unfair on families. The ethos of the school should be what is written all over the children, not an expensive logo with no substance. I remember wearing the St Peters school badge with pride. This was a stitched badge on my blazer pocket for a couple of quid (and was unstitched and restitched on new blazers). Smart, cost effective, practical and family friendly.

My daughter's school, Trinity, has also introduced uniform with logos on...totally unnecessary

I don't agree with this all for a tiny logo that you cannot see , children can still look small without the need for a logo .

my son will wear the full uniform and attend the school looking very smart each day however he is extremely slim and cannot wear trousers that are standard fit a logo you cannot see to me seems useless We tried this at work a few years back and unfortunately it didn't work due to staff being all different shape and sizes I hope Mrs Hammond will trust the parents to dress their children as she sees fit without a small useless tag The children in this school have always looked extremely smart walking up and down Normandy road why change that

Uniforms are an extra expense to start with making them more expensive is puting parents in danger of getting into more det were there is no need

Logos on unnecessary parts of school uniform shouldn't be allowed

With such a worrying Ofsted report on the standards of education if a uniform logo is all the goveners and head teacher can worry about then its no wonder the school is in the state it is I think maybe it's time for a change of personnel here.

It's bad enough buying one Child the uniform, if you've got more children the cost get ridiculous.

I don't understand why more than one item (the blazer or jumper) needs to show a logo. The price of uniforms that are a compulsory purchase for schools are extortionate these days. No parent should have to worry about how they can afford this. This could be the difference of a family going without food, to afford these ridiculously priced uniforms all over the country!

It's a disgrace, the school have gone over board with the Logo on trousers n how expensive it all is.

I think patents should have the right to get cheaper uniforms and school's not dictating about logos on items

It's ridiculous charging them prices when it's so easy and affordable for people to buy from the supermarkets also children are all shapes and sizes and this gives parents no choice

the worst is the p e kit a £20-£25 i have two children to buy that for after just replacing a purple one

I think they need to worrt about getting the school on track not what the uniform looks like

Utterly rediculous, what benefit to a school uniform is a tiny logo? The cost of children is expensive enough without schools having a monopoly on uniforms too.

I disagree with school logos. I have just had double the cost at my school changing from primary to academy. Two lots of uniform with logos for the same school. Disgraceful. And the uniform is not practical. School is for education not a fashion statement.

Blazers and ties are expensive enough without the need for logos on trousers, skirts and pe kits.

Outrageous, it's hard enough feeding our children,never mind paying for an insignificant logo!!!!!
