The EIR does not address the impact to bicyclist on Glenshire Dr. in Glenshire. With the addition of thousands of vehicle traffic trips a day, there is no mention for the need of class II bike shoulders from the top of the Hirschdale grade to Wiltshire. The Town’s Bicycle Master Plan calls for a class II the entire way!
I was the Campaign Chair for the landslide successful passage of Measure R in 2014, the sales tax dedicated 100% to trails and bike ways in town. The intention of this measure was to correct established areas lacking in trail/bike infrastructure. New development, causing accelerated traffic and larger safety concerns for bicyclist, thus being the tipping point for the addition of Class II shoulders, should not be bailed out by measure R. The EIR needs to address this issue. I feel strongly that new development should pay for all the necessary infrastructure upgrades and impact to the community they will cause.
As a community we are the polar opposite of a town that needs growth or is desperate for growth.

The public Truckee Planning Commission hearing on 16 Nov has been quite illuminating. Given the actual facts, I don't see how anyone on the commission in good conscience could approve the heavily flawed EIR or allow Canyon Springs to be developed. Building a road from Canyon Springs site to connect to Edinburgh Drive would be absolutely disastrous for the citizens of Glenshire. Do the right thing, save our quality of life in Glenshire and vote NO on the flawed EIR and the entire development proposal.

Given the actual facts, I don't see how anyone on the commission in good conscience could approve the heavily flawed EIR or allow Canyon Springs to be developed. Please protect our community from urban sprawl, protect our wildlife from us and keep these wide open spaces available for future generations to come. As a new resident in Glenshire, I can only imagine what sort of the sort of negative impact it would have to our small community.

It is very dissapointmenting that the twown of Truckke has chosen to overlook all the inconsistencies and blatant oversight of the EIR. We must unite and fight or else we fall as victims.

There is nooooooooooooo way the City council can Justify this project. Lets rip out tear up the natural landscape removing animals taking out all those trees and all the open space to put buildings and roads in its place. If the council has a conscious and not thinking of their pockets they will after allllllllll the Real and true information the Money hungry Builders DIDNT give and made sure none of truckee knew of this will say NO NO NO!

Please, please don't let the developers, and their money, win the right to drastically alter our beautiful little mountain town. The charm of Truckee is being lost more and more, but it isn't too late to preserve it if the planning commission has the backbone to stand against the developers. Please do it.
