Your company would surely qualify for the SBA 7(a) PPP loan that would allow you 2.5X your monthly payroll cost. Maybe you have already done this ?

This is unreasonable, my household has last way more than 20% of our income.

I was very surprised and disappointed to receive a bill from the club charging 100% of dues. We, too, are considering cancelling our membership.

If American golf had been honest, transparent, and cost sharing, many would be open to a shared resonse. Better do it quick!

Are you kidding me, everybody in the US is suffering from this crisis. To keep charging us for a service we can’t use is incomprehensible!!!!

What AGC is doing is WRONG and I think they know it but GREED sometimes tends to provide comfortable blinders.

Please count our vote, Dan and Joan Wagoner that the dues should be reduced.

I agree that charging the members full price is not inappropriate.

No fees should be assed until course reopens.

Through these difficult time for all I can not understand why you think it is ok to charge the membership for services that we can't use. We prepaid our dues and get a monthly bill for range balls, locker and bag storage. I can not belive that you are still billing for the those services that are not available. Please reconsider your billing practice during your shutdown.

We are all experiencing difficult times right now. The worry, despair, and sadness, is overwhelming. However, Canyon Oaks remains our Happy Place. Our beautiful course, enjoyable times, and special friendships, are very comforting thoughts. It would be heartbreaking if your unfair decision concerning our dues and monthly fees, ruined that. Also, many of us have extra expenses due to the devastating effects of COVID-19. It is urgent that you reconsider your plans. And when you do, PLEASE think with your heart, NOT with your company's wallet !!

Hard to believe AGC would be demanding 80% of dues in this current environment. I understand the need for funds to maintain the course at minimal levels but, without more transparency on the part of AGC it will be difficult for members to comply with this 80% demand. The AGC "dues relief plan", could very well lead to the demise of COCC. If a significant number of members terminate their memberships the owner of the course may decide it's a bleak future for COCC and just close the course. AGC may be facing the same scenario at other courses and they, as well, could be out of business. AGC should come up with a different "dues relief plan", one that members will accept as meeting the needs of keeping the course in minimal playing condition. I hope that AGC will reconsider their present position, become more transparent about the financial situation, and open a meaningful dialog with COCC members regarding a 'reasonable' solution to this dilemma. In your letter, you mention Government Mandates as justification for closing Canyon Oaks. Why then are the 4 city and 3 county owned golf courses in our State capital (per the Sacramento Bee) still open and running under Covid19 protocols? Why is the course in Oroville Ca (our County seat of government) still open. AGC "chose" to close our course and deny members the ability to play golf. That is certainly your choice but you can't make that decision and then charge us because you did. Our sports clubs have closed and waived membership fees. Airlines are providing refunds. Insurance companies are providing rebates. The list of companies acknowledging the current situation and acting responsibly goes on and on. It's time for AGC to step up the plate and join the growing list of responsible companies providing customer service first above the drive for corporate profits. Understanding your costs have been reduced substantially (but not down to zero), I will propose a solution. How about the members agree to pay AGC $100/month while the course is closed to keep necessary operations going and once this is all over, AGC provides full transparency on costs (not profit and overhead) during the shutdown and we settle up this summer? The members want Canyon Oaks to survive but we all need to work together during this time of National tragedy.
