To the View: Everyone makes mistakes and when they do, they should be given a chance to make it right! All of you made a very ignorant mistake and could have made it right! However, your half-hearted, blame it on all of us "they took it out of context, weren't listening" nurses apology and sarcastic, disrespectful comments attempting to make nice for ratings sake didn't do anything but confirm that you shouldn't be allowed to continue a show that many people watch each day! I don't watch your show but it frightens me to think about what other lies and nonsense you all choose to discuss in front of an audience that accepts what you say as fact! To first criticize and put down a beautiful young lady for having the courage to be different and for showcasing and defining her professional skills in a forum that is usually reserved for "fluff" acts, is reprehensible! Then, to put down an entire profession on national TV was stupid! But to mock that same profession with several minutes of trying to make yourselves look better while in fact you were all just digging your hole deeper is flat out stupid! As a profession, we have chosen to react to your idiocy in a very professional manner. We understand that you need viewers for ratings, you need ratings for advertisers, you need advertisers for money and you need money to continue to get a check, a check that is probably beyond any nurse's imagination! Whatever you are paid, it's too much! I hope that the network completely cancels this ridiculous show of yours and that every single advertiser pulls every dime they have committed to you! There is a positive in this situation, however! Your ignorance has given the nursing profession the passion to unite and to show the world that being a nurse is a respected, compassionant, loving, caring, smart as hell profession! I have been a nurse 9 yrs and am very proud of this fact. "The View" does not reflect the views of all women in this country. If you are a liberal democrat feminist, you enjoy this show, but if you have any other views you are degraded and made fun of.
