I was very excited to move to chili five years ago, Found a house in a neighborhood that I love it was at the very top of my budget but it was worth it to me to be able to raise my kids where I wanted to two years into buying this house we got reassessed and it went up about $57,000 which then raised my mortgage because my escrow was shortly 405 dollars a month. So finally we got everything caught up and got our new payment situated and then all of a sudden last week we got slammed with another $25,000 increase… If I knew this was going to happen I would’ve never bought a house here. We are all afraid of losing our houses and not being able to afford them

Back to back Assessments is just not what is expected from our town. The housing market will crash and we will be in over our heads. This has been a rough year for all. This is not what we need.

I had a reassessment a few years ago, I feel this is ridiculous. You are giving me no choice but to sell my house and move out of Chili, which is a town I have lived in for 35 years!!

My assessment just went up another $38k! We just got reassessed a couple years ago. Also, when we put a freestanding deck on, you guys increased our house value by $5k which we paid taxes on...we finally realized that we should not have had an inceewase so you reduced it but we never got a credit for the over charge for those 5 years!

We were assessed two years ago with an increase and again this year with a significant increase. We will be taxed right out of town.
