We have been doing phone IFSP meetings for almost 2.5 years and have proved to EI that phone IFSP meetings have a much better outcome than in person. Reasons: No cancellations due to no show or lateness. Also, how can we conduct in person IFSP meetings with everyone wearing masks and we having to type what the person is saying (with a mask on) and also all IFSP team members are being exposed to covid-19 through these meetings being done in small rooms. Another issue: Crime rates have skyrocketed in the city and we are being put at risk. Our safety should also be taken into consideration.

PARENTS WILL NOT ATTEND THE MEETING. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ATTEND A MEETING WHILE THE MAIN REASON OF THE MEETING ( PARENT) IS STILL ON THE PHONE.

Agreed. It’s more productive and less time wasted. There is no need to meet in person.

Remote/ telehealth should remain a permanent option. Thete is no need to go into the office to complete any IFSP. This is a major lift of burden for the service coordinators.

Remote IFSP Meetings have proven to be just as effective and way more efficient than In Person IFSP meetings. Please continue offering phone IFSP for Service coordinators.

IFSPs going back to in person will cause more spread of COVID-19 which we have not even been trying to be more cautious, despite the new and less predictable variants. Remote IFSPs have been preferred by parents as they do not need to leave their home/work and accommodate for child care, etc. These are all factors that affect EIP services and the SC's.

The amount of IFSP meetings I have had cancelled due to parent forgetting, or NOS was ridiculous, so my time traveling to the regional office was a waste, having remote meetings will ensure that all meetings get done and will def be more effective for all parties

With gas prices , covid cases and crimes on the rise . There is no need for us to go into the office just to type what we were doing at home . We still did our jobs and reached out to the families. My families are aware they can call me 7 days a week and that I am alway there for them.

As SC productivity and maintaining health and safety during the COVID era I'm requesting to keep IFSP meeting via phone.

I believe that having SC's work in person would affect the production of the SC''s and also affect the children's cases. The cost of living has increased. If we go back in person for home visits and meetings the time in going in the subway, not mentioning the criminal rate and cost of living does affect all of the SC's. If we can remain with remote meetings we are not only getting more time to use in a productive manner for each case but will also save money and time to parents and SC's.

Families, eiods, and service coordinators save their time if IFSP meetings are conducted virtually. Saving the time from traveling, waiting, cancelling/rescheduling, we can be doing our other duties. Ever since IFSP have been via phone call, in my personal case load, i have not had any cancellations of meetings due to parent being late or not being able to attend due to other reasons.
