IFSP meetings turning remote was the best thing that could have happened to OSCs/SCs and families. Many families don't have the money or means to travel for a meeting and have found phone conversations to be much more efficient. For us employees, we have worked effectively this way for the past 2 years and have been able to accomplish much more this way. Covid is also still out there and protecting our safety as well as the safety of our families is important and should not be up for debate.

It is extreme difficult to complete reviews in person and keep up with all the documentation.

Service Coordinators need to unite and potentially strike, so NYC EI can recognize the important role we play in EIP

Most importantly that it's safer to our health and saves money for all parties. We are in a recession.

The families I spoke with are deeply opposed to face-to-face meetings. They are giving me the following explanations: Covid : Requiring families to travel to meetings could risk their health. Convenience: Most parents can hold the meeting during their lunch break and avoid taking their personal time off. Finding a babysitter can be challenging for newborns. Time spent on the commute includes waiting for a ride, looking for parking, etc.

Before pandemic cancelation rate for meetings was high. During the pandemic all meetings have been done with no cancelations. Covis is still a risk

It will definitely be easier for both parents and sc’s to continue all meeting by phone. Parents having to commute with their children is difficult especially during winter. They are also putting themselves at risk of getting Covid. Please consider having meetings done by phone which will save sc’s time from commuting and focusing more on our work.

It has been much easier for families to attend meeting via telephone conference without canceling. Cancelations also cause an inconvenience to SC. In addition, virtual also allows SC to have more flexibility in scheduling more than one meeting in a day.How is this a family centered program but EI is forcing families to attend meeting in-person and putting their health at risk.

New York City Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings will be should be conducted via conference call. In this way, the Early Intervention Program will reduce cancellations due to traveling or illness and still continue to meet its program obligations.

Phone meetings are so effective. There are many families who have busy lives and are unable to take the day off to complete a meeting. The families who are working mom's have the issue with services continuing because they have to go in person. They need a paycheck and they cannot take off. Phone meetings are great for families who are working and service coordinators too! It has proven to be effective why change.

Phone meetings have been so effective. Please, please let continue this way. It's convenience for us as well as the parent.

Phone meetings have been proven effective for the pass 2.5 years and drastically decreased the situation of no show/reschedule due to lateness. Also how can a SC explains to the family that they are forced to attend meetings in person while EI providers has the choices to not provide in person services?
