The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver (JFGV) does it again! In conjunction with CIJA, the Ronald S Roadburg Foundation and Temple Sholom, it dares to re-invite to Vancouver the déjà-vu, controversial and divisive speaker Achinoam Nini who is scheduled to address the community “in conversation” (not a concert) on October 30th, 2024, at Temple Sholom.

For Vancouverites, the name may sound familiar. Achinoam certainly gained the title of celebrity in the entertainment world as a renowned Israeli singer and songwriter, also described as a humanitarian activist who advocates for peace in the country of her birth. Yet her political views, far from being controversial, reveal her ugly anti-Israel government agenda, much like a self-hating Jew. In her sweet and caring voice, she dares to qualify Israel as "the occupier in its own land," and advocates for a two-state solution undermining Israel’s repetitive offers given in the past seven decades.

Let’s not forget! Back in 2016, Achinoam Nini was invited by the JFGV to perform at the Yom Haatzmaut concert in Vancouver, an honour she hardly deserved based on the 500 folks who signed a petition against featuring an in-house problematic emblem of conflictive beliefs and ideas, as proven by the 500+ folks that signed the petition against hosting her, including the Jewish National Fund of Canada withdrawing its support, but the Israeli Consulate in Canada saved the day allowing the concert to proceed, albeit the low attendance for such occasion as the miraculous birthday of Israel to be attended by Jews of every possible denomination.

Back to the present day, it seems unfathomable that post the October 7, 2023 massacre, leaders in our local community offer a podium and a microphone to individuals like Achinoam Nini and other far-left, anti-Israeli government activists and rally organizers whose personal political agenda works against the very survival of our small Jewish nation that exists today thanks to the brave IDF soldiers, many who gave up their lives for the cause, while the rest waste no breath to criticize their leaders and use every drop of energy to annihilate the wells of evil that spares no limit to destroy even the most fervent peace-loving Jew in its ancestral land.

Much can be added about this singer’s provocative beliefs. One could say that all Jewish voices have value, except those that work against the very heart and blood of all Jews who stand by their own especially at this unprecedented dangerous time in history.

This is a revealing video about Achinoam’s beliefs. https://www.noasmusic.com/post/noa-talks-about-the...

October 27, 2024

I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I started typing, but seeing how people are responding makes me feel like we are finally being heard. It feels strange to see my frustration echoed by so many others because I just sat down at my laptop feeling pretty isolated, but this momentum shows that keeping quiet really isn't the right path anymore.

Divisive people as Ahinoam should never be heard. Unity is what we need, and she promotes the opposite.

Not only is the event competing with another very important speaker. Although a proclaimed Zionist , The dingers message stands out in sharp contrast to the message Alon Levy has been sharing with the Jewish diaspora. And as such these conflicting events will further exasperate the existing divisions in our community!

Jewish organizations should not be hosting anti- Israel or anti-Israel government radicals speakers specially during war time. This not only damages Jewish unity but also confuses our image and directive from outside communities who support us.

Give the podium to pro-Israel, pro-life, pro-peace, pro-justice, pro-self-determination, pro-existence of the State of Israel, pro-100% Jewish, anti-Hamas, anti-two-state kamikaze solution, anti-Hezbollah, anti-innocent civilians in Gaza with blood in their hands, anti-UNWRA Jew-haters, anti ONU anti-Israel resolutions, anti-antisemitism in the Diaspora,!

Enough! We have had it with lefties that lives in their own bubble, thinking things will be ok ONLY if....NO! THINGS WILL NEVER CHANGE IN ISRAEL because of obecsimple fact, THE ARABS DON'T WANT PEACE, THEY WANT ELIMINATION OF THE JEWISH RACE! GET THIS IN YOUR HEADS. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

She is the worst person to bring to our community at this time . It’s divisive to say the least
