Canadians Against Air Canada Rouge

Traveling from Toronto to Lisbon this summer business class. Flying United out of EWR with a YYZ-EWR segment on AC. Why you ask. Because the YYZ-LIS direct flight is Rouge and I will not suffer on Rouge for 8 hours. So United gets my business and the revenue but I still get my Aeroplan points and Altitude status. To AC: Rouge is a crappy inferior product and you need to smarten up. Whoever decided that ANY overseas fight should be Rouge is an idiot and should be fired.

Every Rouge flight I have taken I have complained to AC about the incredible discomfort. It took me three days to recover from the last flight (seriously). I'm not even going to start about the staff. It's outrageous to pay AC flights yet get an inferior flight experience. I hate AC in general, especially after what they've done with Aeroplan.

A horrible product. Severe downgrade from regular Air Canada and no price reduction. Miami is now all Rouge and yet much more expensive than before. Same on Air Canada. Give me choices within Air Canada. Right now the only choice i have when going to a Rouge destination is to fly another airline. And I do!!

It is a embarrassment to Canada, also it is more expensive and tortuous never again!

we pay too much for flight with no leg room, no screen, and nothing included.. for the exact same ROUTE we pay more,,, and 317 millions dollars for the quarter statement profit,,, don,t give us excuses for surtax for gaz or the weight of inboard entertament ... regular route with 1 to 3 flight a day, is not CHARTER FLIGHT,, you should respect your clients...

On Friday 8 Oct we used Air Canada Rouge to travel from Calgary to LGW. The first flight on an A320 to Toronto Pearson was Ok with two exceptions. The crew were grumpy. And we couldn't understand the announcements because the flight attendant spoke so badly we only heard a handful of the words, both in English and French. To our horror this included the safety announcement. Before I go further, Air Canada, don't blame the crew..failures like this are always due to lousy management and worse training. Second flight was a B767 Toronto to LGW. This was simply awful. Seat pitch was much too tight. Might have been OK for short haul domestic but not long haul international. There was no built-in in-flight entertainment system. We were told it was possible to download the Air Canada app to get in-flight entertainment via phone or tablet but there was no wifi link available while the aircraft was on the gate (BTW...I had the app on my phone but not on my tablet...). There was no USB power supply available to charge devices. Then it transpired it was necessary to download a software workaround to make the Air Canada Rouge app work with an Android device ...for heaven's sake, Android has been around for a few years now! The announcements on this flight were even harder to understand as the flight attendant was an even worse gabbler than her domestic colleague.. .you have a systemic problem here, Air Canada, and it's safety related. The crew forgot to fire up the on board wifi until I asked one of them... The movie selection was very limited. The hot meal was average at best but the breakfast was a lump of banana bread. The flight attendants refused to serve hot drinks with breakfast because the seatbelt sign was on yet they made no attempt to ask standing passengers to sit down or to stop anyone from using the bathrooms. So, Air Canada I'm left wondering if you ever audit your standard operating procedures or if you have

I have suffered a Rouge flight on a long haul to Barcelona. Not a great option but sadly the only direct flight. And it does NOT cost less than other Air Canada flights. Having no power outlets on long haul flights is just cruel.

I have enough trouble with my knees being hit by reclining seats on regular flights so no way I will ever fly Rouge.

Rouge is inhumaine. When someone gets a pulmonary embolism from sitting with their knees around their ears they may listen

Live in Ft.Lauderdale and fly home to Toronto on a regular basis---would not fly Rouge if it was free.

I could usually care less about in-flight comfort and always fly the cheapest route available, however on my first Rouge YYZ-MCO flight a few days ago I had real troubles finding ANY comfortable posture to fall asleep or to keep sleeping. The distance between seats is so close that my knees kept pressing against the back of the seat in front and I had to twist my legs sideways as they would go numb every few minutes. The seats are also hard and narrow making the problem even worse. I’ve been through enough flights on discount airlines to know what reduced leg space means, but I’ve never had to walk limping after a two hour flight, and I’m no Longshanks at all. For a longer flight or someone taller than me that’d be a real torture and quite honestly a health hazard. There is a fine line between a lack of comfort and a real painful inconvenience and you folks have crossed it on Rouge.

Had to choose between Air Transat and Air Canada Rouge to fly from Toronto to Manchester, England. I chose Transat! (sad day)

I have a lot of points with AC and I will do anything to avoid Rouge--what a mess. Too many negatives to put them all down.

The cramped seating is intolerable and makes flight experience miserable! Will fly anything but Rouge for future travel.

Not acceptable for Air Canada to subject their clients to travel like cattle. Prices are not cheaper, service pathetic and the list goes on and on.

Les passagers sont les clients. Les clients se sont fait imposer Rouge et ils ne sont pas content. A vous de jouer.
