I'm a trans, non-binary person. This bill is very important for me and my trans friends' safety. Especially, trans women and trans feminine people of color.

C16 is protection from discrimination and violence for trans men and women, for non-binary, genderqueer and intersex people, and for anyone who has been discriminated against for not adhering to the rules for stereotypical behaviour in their assigned gender.

This is long overdue and as a result is unnecessarily hurting and killing Canadians. No one should have to beg their government for human rights protections.
