Hockey Canada has announced that our World Junior Team will wear green jerseys for two games this year in honour of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The World Juniors Tournament is one that should unite Canadians, not alienate them based on CFL allegiances. Obviously, Hockey Canada is doing this to make money on extra jersey sales. So let's turn it around on them, don't watch the game. If there is the potential of a tv ratings drop, advertisers may put pressure on Hockey Canada. That's where this petition comes in, by adding your name, you pledge not to watch any game where Canada wears green.
This petition will be sent to Hockey Canada electronically and in print form December 14, 2009.
The volume of support has moved us into a position to request a formal meeting with Hockey Canada representatives. I am currently drafting a letter to the sponsorship department outlining the potential impact of a boycott on their broadcasting partners.

Hockey is for everyone in Canada not just football fans. Why do they always have to ruin a good thing.

Red and white represent Canada. Keep it simple and stop messing with tradition just to sell more merch.
