Open the Campbell Theatre for Community Use

Until recently, the Campbell Theater was exclusively subleased to the Willows Theatre Company. Since ceasing operations in August 2012, the theatre now possesses the opportunity to be made available for the enjoyment of community.
By opening
the Campbell Theater to the community as a public rental facility, the city of
Martinez will open the floodgates to a city wide cultural
expansion. In order to alleviate
additional financial and personnel demands on the city, “OMG, I Love That Show!” Productions, Inc. proposes a resident company of the venue to serve as general managers (without salary compensation) of the publicly available Campbell Theatre on behalf of the city of Martinez.
With a minimal investment, some elbow grease
and passion, the Campbell Theatre and Kenney-Conco facilities could soon be
brining money into the city of Martinez and help offset the cost of the lease.
The Campbell Theater does not necessarily
compete with other arts and entertainment venues in the area, but rather offer
an alternative to the traditional options available.
