The Creek at the moment is in a very sad state and it keeps getting worse as a result of all the garbage, sludge and drains that are emptied into the creek. We at Goa ForGiving are mobilizing people from across Goa to communicate and get together for a cause - to get the Campal Creek Cleaned up and restored to its original glory. We are happy that we have been able to reach out to a large section of people and it is great to see more and more people and groups coming forward and getting involved with it. Recently we had a bird walk along with Goa Birders along the Campal Creek. To our surprise we recorded a count of 39 bird species in an hour. This goes to say that the Creek also plays an important role as a natural habitat to some of the bird species. There are probably just a few individuals who may be aware that in the heart of the city of Panaji there is a water canal connecting Campal & St. Inez. To say the least it’s in a very sorry state. In an initiative to clean up and restore the Campal Creek, we at Goa ForGiving are mobilizing local residents on either side along the CAMPAL CREEK and people from across Goa to communicate and get together for a cause. Let's sign this petition and raise this to the Goa government to act now. Cleaning the StInez Campal creek and restoring it to its pristine glory is of paramount importance to save us from impending health hazards.I pray the powers that be does this on a war footing.God bless
The beautiful Campal Creek needs restoration at the earliest. Cleaning the creek will not only beautify St.Inez and Campal but it will get rid of all those health issues people are facing like dengue malaria etc. Hoping signing this petition it will take us one more step closer to getting help for the much needed Campal Creek
The CCP has to act upon quickly to keep our Campal Creek Clean n we as citizens have to see That it is maintained.
Municipal Corporation should take care of this. However it is our duty as well to keep our surroundings clean. We take pride in calling ourselves Goans but we forget our basic duties as civilized Goans. We need to act on this. Throw garbage in Dustbins only which are available on the road. If there is none, carry the garbage with you and dispose it off at the right place only and not on the road. Thank you.
Goa is nothing without it's true beauty...It's high time we put Goa back to what it was before...Beautiful trees, clean waters & safe & clean environment. I want the municipal team of Goa to do something & get into the water & restore our Campal Creek
