We want to change government rules and get mortgage lenders to play fair when dealing with their customers who run into financial difficulty. We ask 2 things:- To change the Mortgage Conduct of Business Rules into actual rules, not just guidleines, and, off the back of that, to create a penalty whereby, if a mortgage lender does not follow the exisiting court rules when applying for possession of a person's home, they should be made to write off the arrears.
