Alton has provided its land for building as was determined in planning. Why do we have to build on every bit of unimproved land for the sake of money

I have just come back from a walk through the meadows and woodland its 7.30 pm - birds are singing at the tops of their voices, butterflies in the evening sun, a woodpecker in the distance. We should not be destroying this! Alton has enough houses being built on the outskirts, messing with nature. We don't have the infrastructure, schools, doctors. The roads are far busier and will get worse. Build houses on brownfield sites and leave natural spaces for everyone to enjoy.

I think Alton has done its share to help the housing shortage. It's time to respect nature and Alton residents. Today on the BBC website there is an article highlighting that green spaces save the NHS about £111 millon a year!

So many of our towns green fields are now covered with houses, there will soon be no space left for wild life, not to mention the extra pressure on our schools and medical services and traffic on the roads. Alton is doing its bit to help with the housing crisis what kind of a town will we be left with if yet another development is allowed to go ahead.

If we keep on building outwards at this rate, before long we will not have any more of our beautiful country-side left to admire and appreciate !!! We need to keep our landscape ALIVE with these important 'Green' areas, especially when they cotain many of our native wildlife and fauna, too !!!

Must be preserved as open space according to Town Design Statement. Add this to natural environment preservation, EIA ESSENTIAL. Do NOT turn into a sanitised "Country Park/Play Area".

We all need space and nature around us, once this habitat is gone it cant' be brought back, it's lost forever. There are so many new houses going up in Alton already, encroaching on nature and green spaces, Alton is sprawling....

Nobody should be fooled into believing that the so-called 'Country Park' deserves such a name, granted its very limited scale and the loss of so much vital natural habitat in the neighbouring area.
