Such a precious place to see and hear the wonders of our beautiful English countryside - please dont build on this amazing meadow - those living in Alton need somewhere to have their souls and minds renewed. Please keep this area for the good of our mental health as well as the wildlife.

I agree for the need for new housing for Alton's younger people, but building on beauty spots and open spaces enjoyed by the public is unaccepable.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren - preserve this meadow with its diversity of native butterfly species , plants and wildlife! A "nature corridor" is required for wild-life and insects to move between. I have lived here for over half a century and seen the drastic changes occurring and the swallowing-up of the beautiful and ancient fields and countryside. Enough is Enough. The population is due to be quadrupled with all the new housing developments going on in Alton. The infrastructure left here cannot possibly serve the amount of people due to live here. The new sports centre will not be suitable to serve the community and if there is nothing but a near concrete jungle, no police station, not sufficient youth facilities, etc etc, and no retreat into the woods and nature this town will be hell on earth for everyone, animals and insects!

We need more housing, but we cannot keep loosing greenfield sites to such large developments; the towns infrastructure can't cope as it is. Smaller 'brownfield' sites must be explored more thouroughly.

I believe this to be people wasting print space as development always rides roughshod over peoples views but this would be a wrong use of greenfield space.
