To do nothing to spare ecologically important sites from acts of greed and vandalism by developers is reprehensible and short sighted. These meadows should be protected - not bulldozed!

An Environmental Impact Assessment is needed for this site. People need somewhere to live but we must consider the well-being of present residents and the environmental impact

Absolutly disgrace we are getting so many new housee we dont need more especally on land that has so many natural wildlife habitats,should never even got to this planning stage .

Despite the propaganda the number of houses for sale and rent in and around Alton clearly evidences the fact that we don't need any more built in the near future. Another encroachment into our green spaces like the abomination on the New Odiham Road isn't justified. And as for an EIA that will be a whitewash just as the flooding problem soon to be realised when Redrow finish their estate. JUST SAY NO!!!

Alton has done more than enough to satisfy housing need. Why should we have to put up with the threat of yet more housing. It would be a tragedy if this meadow was destroyed forever.
