Campaign To Prevent Land on Shroggs Road, Halifax being developed

Think about the families that live around this area and how much their insurance will go up

Crime rate goes up and property prices will drop, from previous observations they dump rubbish all over

Nothing will be safe left outside. Crime will increase and house prices decrease. The road will be strewn with rubbish.

Crime will go up housing prices down who will want to live near that site

You just have to look at other travelers sites To see the mess they make. House prices go down insurance goes up. People talk about their rights! But what about our rights.

It’s too much of a nice quiet area to be putting travellers In! I would have travellers living in my back garden!!! This is an absolute joke from Calderdale council to even consider spoiling the nice area and turning it into a crime filled area! There will be crimes all over Hx3 and who’s left to replace the items when they break in or steal things??? And are the council going to pay all of our insurance premiums? Cause they WILL increase

Being a resident in the Wheatley Valley how much more land is going to be taken. Already have a new village and more houses. The land in question was once a park and running track, lets have these back for our children. Who is going to clean up after after these travellers? Come on council listen to the people of Wheatley! Thanks

No way should it be allowed. They have their own rules and do as they please and get away with it .They leave rubbish all over when they move on ,it’s not fair on people who live in the area .

The council needs to give more information regarding this proposal

help the homeless put statics on there for people that genuinly need a roof above there head instead of a cardboard box

General Bad behaviour, Crime, Rubbish are just some of the impacts on this but there's no thought for the wildlife or the jobs it could create if this site was to be built on for business purposes. Is it really fair on the surrounding community to have this site situated here when it would have an impact on house prices and generally bring the area down ?

I've had past trouble when travellers broke into one of our redundant warehouses. They stripped all our electrical wiring out, set fires in the building, soiled excrement in corners and then asked for £5k to move on. Why would you want this possibility on your doorstep.

Poor site. Former tip with methane issues. No real demand for it. Too much protected wildlife on that site and adjacent to it.

The land where the old bed factory was earmarked for industrial units which would create jobs, no one is going to invest in that idea with a proposed traveller site next door.

Totally back this campaign as it will be a blight on the area.
