Campaign To Prevent Land on Shroggs Road, Halifax being developed

This is a ridiculous idea and will reduce house prices and cause illegal activity to take place in the surrounding areas. We have enough robberies and car break ins now never mind if this is built. Why !

Build one on old lane!!!

I personal think the should if they going to build a travellers site they should do it down on old lane where the old mill is. Where it wont cause problems for local resdienteds.

Not something which Halifax needs. Crime increase and house price decrease, not to mention the impact on wildlife. Money could be much better spent on the paying population.

Absolutely ridiculous idea, the wildlife will probably die. There are usually wild deers on that site.

I think this will be a terrible use of this land and will make residents vulnerable to crime and anti social behaviour. Travellers pay nothing towards the economy so we do we need to give them land for free when everyone else has to work and save for what they’ve got.

Watch the local house prices slide !! .,., NO thanks - I am sure there is a better use for this land - Calderdale Council really need to rethink this

Land would be better used for the housing shortage for people with no homes who are already homeless

Has history not proved that travellers sites bring trouble to communities such as these. Let's learn from past mistakes and not invite it onto our doorstep.

I have seen what they have done to the land in the past when they were there, they absolutely wrecked it and left it a complete mess. Please do not let the past repeat itself again!
