ive lived near travellers before and crime rate rose tremendously and local children/teenagers were bullied. House prices dropped in value and house sold at a loss to get away to keep this from happening any more.

I live in Wheatley and do not want this happening to the area I live in, it will impact house prices and the feel of the area
Has anyone seen this document from a recent council meeting with more info about exactly where, looks like the plan for access to be off brackenbed Lane has now been rejected but that shroggs road is now favoured out of all sites investigated.
There is an email address within the document below, I suggest everyone emails with their concerns and to flag up this petition which is continuing to get grow. There are clearly a lot of people unhappy about these idea!

The site was landfill and shouldn't be built on hence why the cricket pitch park and football pitches were dismantled

Shroggs Road is not a wide road and I feel that it would be congested. Plus the danger to the children in that area. The area is already bad with litter from the many taxis and cars that park up. I moved here recently because it was a lovely small area. But I feel house prices will be affected. I have to pay my council tax and I don't want it going towards building an area where we won't be getting anything in return. I feel let down by our councillors for misleading me it to thinking it would be for only seven caravans but it could be up to thirty five or more. Yet again pulling the wool over our eyes.

The land is designated for industrial use, is next to retail units and is on one of the busiest routes to Wheatley, Lee Mount and Mixenden. The local infrastructure is not suitable to support the needs of this sizeable addition to the local population.
