Campaign To Prevent Land on Shroggs Road, Halifax being developed

Against development, crime rates will increase and it will ultimately impact in a bad way on the local community

I do not feel this is suitable land for the proposed use and will have a detrimental impact on the local community and traffic flow along Shroggs road

Why old lane? What about the people in lee mount etc that live near there? I think they should build it in your garden, and that you should learn how to spell.

House prices will plummet in the area, crime rate will drastically increase along with antisocial behaviour ! All totally unacceptable in such a lovely respectable area that is mine and my neighbours homes... Can't believe the council are even considering this which will ruin everything we work for and pay taxes to, unlike the inhabitants of the proposed site which will be an eyesore to say the least!!

This area is already looking run down and neglected from the large number of properties which are rented out and the occupier/owners fail to maintain the property. It is a known fact that The crime rate increases in the areas where gypsy sites are installed.

There are better sites locally that would not cause the kind of problems that this site would bring to the community in this location. Halifax is now in the spotlight dont bring it down

Halifax doesn’t need a gypsy site! That’s the last thing we need. Some new houses down there would be better for all! Unless there’s some backhanders floating about, we’ll never know! Some fat councillor will though!

Why would an area that is already classed as undesirable / low income need the problems that a travellers site would bring. If anything the Ovenden / Wheatley area needs investment / improvement not more problems.

I do not feel the site will benefit the area but will bring it down, Wheatley is a safe clean area and I do not feel that would be the case if this site goes ahead

This is a bad idea !

Of all the areas they looked at, they settle on our little patch of town. Surprise, surprise, I suppose St John's Ward, Savile Park etc were out of the picture? Looking for an easy target... You've not found one here. Travellers travel do they not, that's their life choice. Mine was to buy a house invest my time and money in it and hope eventually it would give me a return to retire on. How dare you threaten that by potentially impacting the area and house prices? NIMBY!

Wrong idea because isn’t bad area nice and quiet so far, Shroggs Park never gone be the same will be full of gipsys,insurance will go up because will be more crime and thieves and are houses never gone be safe;(put them somewhere miles away from residents.

Anyone that's a against these plans keep sharing and getting people to sign tge petition has gone up by 120 votes in the last few days

Don't want the the site

Our valley is stunning and draws people from afar. There are brownfield and other sites that don’t need to destroy greenfield

I live on shroggs road and this would distrupt travel due to the work and would be a noisy environment.
