An access of the accident black spot of Bayford Hill is socially irresponsible, it will ruin one of the few green spaces left on the outskirts of the town.
If someone signs off on this they will have to come under some amount of scrutiny .
Madness!

No need to build more houses on people's doorsteps. The town is already struggling to cope in schools and the health centre. Should not be allowed to cram new houses onto beautiful countryside

Greed over need, plenty of empty properties in the area. Also Wincanton needs to improve its facilities and infrastructure first.

Wincanton is a market Town...... we need to invest in making good what is already seen to be a run down area without any real structure to accommodate further new builds.

Time to clear up the disgraceful state of areas which already hold planning permission for housing, and make this town , left in the most disgraceful state by irresponsible developers, and then see what more housing is needed. Disastrous to kowtow to those who want to make money in this way at the great disadvantage to those who want some green space

i think this is stupid and irresponsible in every way the town cannot cope with anymore its getting out of hand, what makes the council think that they can fill more new housing when there is so many other empty properties in wincanton? the wildlife that would be destroyed is huge, i know there are buzzards nesting close by we watch them hunt from our back gardens they are beautiful & should be allowed to stay in their homes as should all the other animals & birds that will be destroyed all for the sake of more housing thats needed or wanted. all senses of security for property & children playing safely will be gone, non existent which is very sad.

I can't believe builders want to build on this beautiful land where people go to walk there dogs. It's just not on.
I also don't understand why people want Wincanton to grow at such a alarming rate. There's been so many houses/flats built in the last 7years or so. All these houses will not bring in trade.
Wincanton is a small town, why does it have to expand. This is the countryside after all!

There is more than enough development in wincanton. The schools are fit to burst, and for families moving to the town, I donut they will want to send the children else wear for their education.
