In remembrance of The Cambodian Holocaust. I am starting this petition so that we can celebrate one day for those who suffered dearly at the hands of the Khmer Rouge regime. According to the 2010 Census Bureau there is approximately 264,080 Cambodians living in America and the number is rising. I would like to get at minimum 500,000 signatures. Once that is accomplished I will be send this petition to governor Jerry Brown. If you are not a resident of Califorina please in the comment box put your city and state. Let's make a difference! Please pass this along!!!

ive been reading through the comments and stories people are leaving and it really hits home why we need this day of remembrance. i am still spending my time reaching out to offices to get this on the right desks so we can finally start getting some real attention.

The world needs to acknowledge the pain and loss of so many innocent lives. It is time for CA to step up.

My family escaped in 79. We need to remember what happened so it never happens again. Thank you for doing this.

Long Beach, CA. My neighbors are wonderful people and they deserve to have their history recognized. Good luck.

This is so important. Too many people dont even know what happened in Cambodia back then. People need to learn the history.

The suffering my parents went through was unreal. I hope this brings some peace to the survivors. Lowell, MA.
