Until the infrastructure is improved, we cannot handle the influx of traffic. This is not an appropriate use of land within the business district of Waxhaw.

The idea of making that piece of land commercial for a major development is nothing less than total insanity. When fighting WalMart, which would have been development on an intersection at least, we proved that this area CANNOT handle the noise, traffic, paving, lights, traffic, noise, traffic...you name it. This is Waxhaw, Small town. Home town. I do not need to walk to Target for my shopping. The elected officials need to heed our words. There will be repercussions all around if this insane request is approved. We are a long time residential family, very close to this site and will fight this zoning change.

It boggles my mind that it even needs to be said that this area CANNOT support such development! Time to respect the wishes of the residents over those of the builders!!

I am 100% against this particular choice of businesses going in at this location. I have worked in residential real estate for over 20 years and our companies have moved thousands of residents this this area BECAUSE of its small town feel. This development is out of control and it traffic is already horrendous.

We live adjacent to this property and are very much against rezoning to commercial. Traffic is already bad and hard to get out of our development. The noise and lights would definitely affect our neighborhood and I am afraid it would bring our home values down. They need to finish building up the Cureton area before they try to build up the downtown area.

Please reconsider and "do not" go forward with this rezoning. Our traffic in Waxhaw is already very busy and this will only compound this issue. We do not need these new businesses.

This is a residential area that has no place for large commercial development. The area is not able to handle more growth or traffic, specifically on a stretch of road that was intended for small town neighborhoods!

This is all getting out of hand out here. There's already too much retail and not enough lanes on providence to justify any of this. There's too much congestion already. What are they thinking?. Has anyone seen how congested it gets now when the church and school get out by the Harris Teeter store. They could have put that church somewhere else too. What are they thinking or rather, are they thinking when they come up with these plans. We can hardly get out of our dev. now as it is. If they add more it'll be a nightmare.

Please do not allow any commercial development, Providence is a TWO lane road, NOT a 4 lane highway. Thank you!
